Have leftover brisket & unsure what to do with it next? Make these yummy & easy quesadillas!
Prep Time
15 Minutes
Cook Time
7 - 10 Minutes (Depending on how crispy you like your tortilla)
Ingredients
- Leftover smoked Zobel Family Farms Brisket
- Tortillas of your choice
- Shredded Cheese of your choice (we prefer cheddar)
- Madison's famous "quesadilla sauce" (Sour cream mixed with Spicy Hidden Valley Ranch Mix Powder to taste - add a little at a time to get your preferred "spiciness")
- Sour cream, salsa, and any other things you'd like to use for garnish
Instructions
- Heat your pan/griddle/Blackstone to your preferred low - medium heat while preparing your quesadillas
- Lay out your tortillas
- Spread the "quesadilla sauce" on the tortillas
- Cover half of the tortilla with your cheese - there's no such thing as "too much cheese" especially on a quesadilla! ;)
- Place your shredded/cubed leftover brisket onto your cheese
- Optional step: if you'd like you can add a little more of the quesadilla sauce at this time on top of the meat, but not necessary
- Add your second layer of cheese on top of the meat - don't be shy!
- APPLY COOKING OIL/SPRAY TO YOUR COOKING SURFACE
- Fold over your tortilla to cover the insides and place it on your cooking surface.
- Cook on low - medium heat to let the insides melt without getting the outside done too quickly.
- Once the inside & outside is to your preferred doneness, remove from your cooking surface. Cut and enjoy!
- We like to add additional sour cream & salsa for garnish!
